This mare is a daughter of the Epsom Handicap winner Filante (2nd to Saintly in the Cox Plate), himself the sire of G1 winner Macedon Lady (MRC One Thousand Guineas)

Miss Hostie is the proven producer of 3 winners and is herself the daughter the very smart juvenile Fickle Hostess, who from only 5 starts won 3 incl. G2 Magic Night Stakes, ran 2nd in the G2 Reisling Stakes before a 4th place in the Golden Slipper G1) won by Courtza.

This mare’s granddam is the brilliant 2YO filly Vaindarra who won 5 of her first 6 starts before beating all but future Champion Sire Marscay in the Golden Slipper (G1).

She has plenty scope for improvement boasting a yearling colt by Snitzel’s multiple Group-winning son Showtime and a colt foal by Redoute’s Choice’s multiple Group winner Pariah whose yearlings averaged over $140k at the 2022 Magic Millions Sale.

She sells with a positive pregnancy test to Showtime, a son of 4-time Champion Sire Snitzel. Showtime’s yearlings at Magic Millions in January averaged over $176,000. The only runner to date bred on this exact Snitzel-Filante cross is stakeswinner Amasensus (8 wins in 18 starts to date).
