Arakwal was a $160,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park. This is a family that consistently produces good looking stock.
Arawkwal is being offered for sale as part of standard stock management programme by the owner how maintains a set number of breeding stock and has a number of retirees to join the breeding programme in 2022. Her impending weanling filly is a good first foal. Plenty of size, scope and quality and bodes well for the capacity of this mare to breed good-looking stock. The intention at this stage is that the weanling will be retained to race. She was not covered as the intention has always been to sell post weaning.
Stud Manager’s comments on the Impending weanling filly out of Arakwal:
“This filly has good size, scope and enough strength. She walks straight and her action is good enough. She looks to be a three-year-old type. Her legs are correct and she is not a bad effort for a first foal. Rating: 7/10”
This is a family with plenty of upside. This mare’s four-year-old half-brother Gundy Bridge (I Am Invincible) is a last start winner for the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable; her three-year-old half-sister Invincibilus is a winner this preparation for Ben & JD Hayes; and her two-year-old half-sister Better Than Anyone (I Am Invincible) was purchased at last year’s Inglis Classic Yearling Sale by Ellerslie Lodge/Bryce Heys for $260,000. Yearlings out of the mare have sold for $420,000, $250,000, $180,000.
