Description
Triple Charged is selling in foal to Yes Yes Yes and with her 2021 Rubick filly. This 3 in 1 package is part of the continued unreserved dispersal of The Superhorse Trust owned horses. The Superhorse Trust has been a very successful breeder, having bred Angel of Truth (ATC Australian Derby - Group 1), Electric Girl (2021 Group 2 winner), Superium (2021 Listed Race winner) and Archedemus ($1,197,830 in earnings to date).

By Charge Forward (by Red Ransom), a winner of the Group 1 AJC Galaxy Hcp (1100m), he has been achieved solid success at stud, especially via his fillies, siring the likes of Group 1 winners Response and Headway, as well as Group 3 winners Solar Charged, Slightly Sweet, London Lolly and Cavalry Rose. As you might expect, he has been an even better broodmare sire, with his daughters having already produced She Will Reign (ATC Golden Slipper), Estijaab (ATC Golden Slipper) and Sunlight (4 x Group 1 winner of $6.5 million).

You don’t need to search far into Triple Charged’s female line to find some highly quality black type runners. Triple Charged is a brother to two Group 3 placed Metropolitan winners, Bradman (9 wins, $383,000) and Zaragoza. Her dam Portrayal (by Flying Spur – Champion Sire), is a half-sister to 6 winners including dual stakes winner Barawin and Group 1 placed Saddler’s Silk, grand dam of $2.8 million earner Osborne Falls, as well as $1.2 million earner Viridine.

After a bit of a rocky start at start (missed in her first two seasons), Triple Charged has proven to be a very fertile mare, producing three live foals and is again safely back in foal. Her first foal, a 2019 colt by Churchill, was sadly lost when he fractured his femur doing trackwork at Rosehill one morning. Her second foal, a 2020 filly by Rubick, is now in Tasmania and about to be broken in. Her third foal is the 2021 Rubick filly which sells as part of this 3 in 1 package. At this year’s yearling sales, Rubick’s progeny have sold for $300,000, $270,000, $260,000, $240,000, $230,000, $220,000, and $200,000 (2), with his fillies (27 sold) averaging $68,000.

Importantly, Triple Charged sells in foal to the very popular Coolmore Australia stallion Yes Yes Yes (by Rubick), which has covered books of 205 and 175 mares in his first two seasons at stud, standing at an advertised fee of $38,500. Yes Yes Yes was an outstanding 2yo and 3yo, facing the starter on just 8 occasions for 4 wins and 3 placings, the only blot on his copybook coming on a Heavy track in the Golden Slipper. Prior to this race, Yes Yes Yes ran a blistering 1:08.40 when winning the Group 2 ATC Todman Stakes, a new record for this race. His career culminated in a scintillating victory in The Everest, defeating a star-studded field in 1:07.32, a new 1200m track record for Randwick. In 2021, mares in foal to Yes Yes Yes have sold for $250,000, $230,000, $200,000, $165,000, and $150,000.
