Description
PRINCE BEEJAY was a $160,000 Magic Millions Yearling. He is a magnificent looking son of Champion Stallion LONHRO from the city performed DANEHILL DANCER mare Perri Lou.
He is genuinely untried, but as a gelding has become surplus to the needs of our client.
PRINCE BEEJAY has an A+++ rated pedigree mating with Lonhro over Danehill Dancer mares currently Striking at 80% Winners to Runners and 20% Stakes Performers to Runners.
He is the half-brother to Gr2 performed stayer Perilous Love and like his half-sister, he has taken some time to fully furnish. As his pedigree suggests, Prince Beejay looks an ideal 2000m+ prospect. He has been given plenty of time to fully mature and he’s now ready to go on with the job.
Since Prince Beejay’s purchase as a yearling, our client has changed his philosophy to racing. Over the past few years, our client wanted to race horses for racing sake. Now our client has changed his views and only wishes to race big ticket colts that are potential stallion prospects. He advised us prior to the Easter Yearling Sales that if he was to get set on some big-ticket colts, he would place Prince Beejay on the market, because as a gelding, it is no longer part of his business plan and therefore should be sold. Having been set when purchasing into colts at the Inglis Easter Sale this week, our client informed us on Wednesday evening to put PRINCE BEEJAY in this online sale.
With all the time, effort and money invested in PRINCE BEEJAY, we are naturally disappointed to be offering ‘The Prince’ for sale at this stage of his career. He has shown us talent from Day 1, all the waiting and patience has been done, and he now represents as an ideal prospect to race in your silks in the coming months.
From the attached video you can see Prince Beejay working to the outside of a stablemate. As you can see from the footage, he is still green and piecing it all together, but you can observe he’s got a nice turn of foot over the sprints, so it will be exciting to see he him let go like that over a trip.
