Description
A $115,000 Magic Millions yearling purchase by star sire Deep Field out of Group-placed Sebring mare Lazumba, Windsweep is a multiple winner who has amassed over $90,000 in prizemoney to date. She has also placed at Sydney metropolitan level on two occasions.
Windsweep's half-sister, LATINO BLEND (by Hinchinbrook), won her first start as a 2YO impressively before tackling the Group 3 Magic Night Stakes, where she finished a close 4th on just her second career start. Latino Blend then placed second in the Group 2 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes at Randwick as a 3YO.
Windsweep has some very exciting siblings coming through, including a Written Tycoon colt, a Wootton Bassett and an Almanzor colt which sold for $800,000 at the 2021 January Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Her pedigree and physique, combined with the excellent sales results of her siblings, mean that Windsweep would make an excellent addition to any broodmare band at the culmination of her racing career.
Windsweep is a touch over 16.2hh and has matured into a lovely, big, strong mare.
