This colt is by our residential dual G1 winning sire Grunt and out of the well related mare in Hannigan Rules.

About the mare, Hannigan Rules is a half-sister to Group Three winning 3YO THINK BLUE. The dam of three winners to date, she has had a 2YO winner by Better Than Ready and a winning filly by Street Boss.

Hannigan Rules is out of the G2 winning mare, BALLYBLEUE. She was good enough to claim placings in the G2 Reisling Slipper Trial, G3 Tesio Stakes. BALLYBLEUE’s daughter THINK BLUE claimed 5 victories from 1400m-1700m taking out of the G3 Alexandra Stakes, she was later purchased at the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $650,000 by Kia Ora Stud and James Bester Bloodstock. Additionally, this is the family of FLYING SPUR, ENCOSTA DE LAGO etc.

By our foundation stallion Grunt (NZ) who stands his fourth season this year. His first yearlings made a huge impression at the 2022 sales, selling for up to $300,000 and averaging over $100,000 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

His first 2-year-olds will emerge this spring from top stables including Ciaron Maher & David Eustace Racing, Gai & Adrian Bott Racing, Chris Waller Racing, John O’Shea Racing, Greg Eurell Racing, Freedman Racing, Grahame Begg Racing, Dabernig Racing, Busuttin Racing, Danny O’Brien Racing, Brad Widdup Racing, Cumani Racing and McEvoy Mitchell Racing.
