Description
This colt is by our residential dual G1 winning sire in Grunt and out of the well related Zabeel mare in Reglisse.
Reglisse is a proven ZABEEL mare, from a family of multiple Group winners.
She is the dam of five named runners, all winners. She has left multiple winners in Australia and Asia. Reglisse has a Colt by SO YOU THINK, and two sons by GRUNT still to race and in 2021 was bred to G1 CF Orr Stakes winning son of Redoute’s Choice, ALABAMA EXPRESS.
This Colt’s second dam is the proven producing mare in OUR RIESLING, the dam of G3 winning and stakes winning 2YO, VALPOLICELLA, the dam of VAVASOUR (3x G3 winner), VILANOVA (G2 and G3 winner, multiple Group placed), CELEBRITY DREAM (G3 winning and multiple Stakes placed) and of more recent G1 Sydney Cup, G1 Tancred and G1 NZ Stakes placed RONDINELLA.
As a Broodmare Sire, ZABEEL needs no introduction. His daughters have produced an astonishing 2427 Winners, 230 SW (6.4% SW), 141 GW, 44 individual G1 winners. He continues to go strength to strength every year.
Since 2019 Zabeel mares have earnt over 60M, produced 38 SW, 22 GW and of G1 winners AVANTAGE, THINK IT OVER, AEGON, INSPIRATIONAL GIRL, TOFFEE TONGURE, JOHNNY GET ANGRY. All besides two are from different Sire lines.
By our foundation stallion Grunt (NZ) who stands his fourth season this year. His first yearlings made a huge impression at the 2022 sales, selling for up to $300,000 and averaging over $100,000 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
His first 2-year-olds will emerge this spring from top stables including Ciaron Maher & David Eustace Racing, Gai & Adrian Bott Racing, Chris Waller Racing, John O’Shea Racing, Greg Eurell Racing, Freedman Racing, Grahame Begg Racing, Dabernig Racing, Busuttin Racing, Danny O’Brien Racing, Brad Widdup Racing, Cumani Racing and McEvoy Mitchell Racing.
