Description

Here is a wonderful opportunity to purchase a mare from a family that is continually being bred up.

Standing approx. 16HH high DUCHESS OF ROSE is a beautiful, correct, winning, city placed young mare by Rothesay and out of a very well-related Encosta de Lago mare. Her first foal is an athletic Star Turn weanling filly and she is safely in foal to one of Qld’s most consistent winner-getting stallions in Falvelon (LSD Nov 1, 2021 and due to foal October 6, 2022). Falvelon only serves a select few mares each year however his progeny are always extremely well sought-after in the sales rings.

It is both a wonderful running and selling family with Duchess Of Rose’s half-brother by Star Turn being knocked down for $550,000 at the 2020 January Magic Millions sales and another half-sister by Written By selling to Paul Moroney at last month’s QTIS March Magic Millions Yearlings sales for $110,000.

She is a trouble free mare, with good feet and no problems at all. She has always fallen in foal easily and has no vices. She is currently located at Glenlogan Park and has been there the entire time since retirement.
