-This mare is a daughter of outstanding European sire Dansili, sire of 23 G1 winners inc. Harbinger, Flintshire & Foreteller and now damsire of 103 stakeswinners & 13 G1 winners inc. Magic Wand (LKS MacKinnon S.).
-Soft Sand was a talented racemare winning 4 races including 3 at Caulfield and placed 2nd in the G1 Myer Classic going down by only a neck to Appearance. Her ability is no doubt considerably due to her granddam Loving Claim, Champion French 2YO Filly.
-A former $160,000 yearling, Soft Sand has a 2YO filly by rising star sire Maurice named Killiako with Phillip Stokes, while her yearling filly sold for $240,000 to Chris Waller & Guy Mulcaster at Inglis Easter.
-Soft Sand is a half-sister to the dam of the very promising group placed A Very Fine Red.
