Description
Diamond Back (Frankel x Verushka) gelding.
Diamond Back is a lightly raced 3YO Gelding by super sire Frankel.
To-date, Diamond Back has had 7 starts with Chris Waller for one win over 1950m at Yarra Valley.
Frankel has been an incredible sire in the southern hemisphere producing Gr.1 winners Hungrey Heart, Converge and Mirage Dancer and running at 15.8% Stakes winners to runners. His dam Veruschka (GB) is a well-related Dubai mare that is a full sister to Gr.3 winner Demarchelier. Diamond Back’s pedigree suggests that he will be more than capable running on as an older horse.
We believe that Diamond Back would suit a lesser grade of racing than Metro, we are also making room for younger stock coming through. He is 16.3hh and currently weighs 512KG.
