With the best stakes winning to runners strike rate in Australia it has been announced the REBEL DANE will Stand in the hunter for $27,500. Including GST for season 2022. His Daughter FIREBURN struck again for her 2nd Group 1 in the sires Produce on the weekend and is the first filly to win the slipper and sires produce in 26 years. A $1.70 Favourite to get her third Group 1 to complete the “Triple Crown” Rebel Dane is proving to be very Commercial after all. With 2yo dominance that hasn’t been seen for a long, long time.
And here is a rare chance to secure mare in foal to that up-and-coming young stallion - one of the 49 mares who visited him last spring. Unraced, Lemon de Lune is a daughter of the wonderful grey Puissance de Lune who has made such an encouraging start to his stud career - and being a son of the great influence that is the multiple Gr.1 winner Shamardal (already dam sire of 71 stakes winners including nine Gr.1 winners), he is bound to make his mark as a broodmare sire.
A half-sister to the stakes placed Moonee Valley and Sandown winner Celestial Sol (the Chris Waller trained four-year-old who looks close to another win), Lemon de Lune is out of the good race mare Lady Phoebe, a dual city winning Stravinsky mare who was competitive in stakes company... and she is still at stud, served last spring by Doubtland.
