Description
This weanling filly is by the Champion 3yo Colt and Group 1 winning sire ALL TOO HARD. All Too Hard was a Group winning and Group 1 placed juvenile before the spring of his 3yo season when he was the winner of the Group 1 MRC Caulfield Guineas, defeating fellow sires PIERRO and EPAULETTE. He won an additional 3 Group 1 races in his 3yo season before being retired to stud, including the Group 1 MRC CF Orr Stakes and the Group 1 ATC All Aged Stakes. He is the sire of 22 individual Stakes winners including 4 Group 1 winners, such as this season’s multiple Group 1 winning mare FORBIDDEN LOVE ($2,174,550), BEHEMOTH ($3,260,475) and Hong Kong dual Group 1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize winner WELLINGTON (HK$40.05million). He has had yearlings sell for up to $600,000.
This filly is the first foal out of the winning ENCOSTA DE LAGO mare SHOWADA. Showada is a half-sister to multiple Group winner and Group 1 placed ZACADA ($692,891) and is from the direct female family of Champion Racehorse, multiple Group 1 winner and multiple Group 1 placed SHOWELLA (NZ) ($431,949). This is also the family of Champion New Zealand Stayer SHOWCAUSE, Group winners SAFWAN, SHOWBEEL, BUSTER JONES etc.
The cross of All Too Hard with Encosta De Lago mares is a proven one, with Group 1 winner and Group 1 placed ALLIGATOR BLOOD ($1,846,000) being bred on this cross, as well as the multiple Stakes placed winner WARRANTY ($209,330). This cross has a ratio of almost 70% winners to runners.
