Bhutan (Choisir)
Bhutan is a young daughter of G1 producing Broodmare Sire, CHOISIR.
She is out of the 3x winning High Chaparral mare in High Harmony, an own sister to the multiple Stakes and G2 Tulloch Stakes winner HIPPOPUS. With plenty of growth to come in the 1st dam, High Harmony was covered in 2021 by up-and-coming young sire Star Turn, and her 2021 Merchant Navy weanling was purchased by renowned judges Paul Moroney and Catheryne Bruggeman.
Daughters of CHOISIR have had great success in the breeding barns, recently they have produced 5 individual Australian Group winners such as BEAU ROSSA (G2 winning and G1 placed), MOONLIGHT MAID (G2 winning and G1 placed), SO YOU ASSUME (G2 winner). Other successful racehorses out of CHOIRSIR mares include ISOTOPE and ECKSTEIN.
Bhutan is holding a pregnancy to our residential multiple G1 Winner, YULONG PRINCE. By Champion Sire, GIMMIETHEGREENLIGHT (More Than Ready), Yulong Prince was purchased from South Africa after claiming G1 success as a 3YO, winning the G1 Daily News 2000, and placing 2nd in the G1 South African Classic and G1 South African Derby. Yulong Prince started his Australian racing career, taking out victories in the Listed Furphy Stakes and placings in the G2 Ajax Stakes. In his final year of racing, he claimed in the G1 Kennedy Cantala Stakes and placed 2nd in the G2 Chelmsford Stakes and a fourth in the G1 Epsom Handicap. “Yulong Prince was a very impressive horse on two fronts.
