Description
LINAS MAGIC is a winning 4yo mare by Group winning sire WAR, the son of Champion Sire MORE THAN READY (USA). War was Stakes placed on debut as a 2yo, running second in the Listed ATC Breeders Plate. He returned in the spring of his 3yo season to take out the Group 3 ATC Up & Coming Stakes, a race previously won by Champion Sires EXCEED AND EXCEL, FASTNET ROCK, SNITZEL etc.
Linas Magic is out of the multiple winning STATUE OF LIBERTY (USA) mare CLOANTHY. Cloanthy is from the family of Group 1 winners VISION AND POWER ($2,072,675), GLAMOUR PUSS ($1,236,300), STEPS IN TIME ($1,088,650) as well as this season’s Group winners and Group 1 placed FORGOT YOU ($665,350) and ESPIONA ($315,500).
Linas Magic is a half-sister to 6-time winner LINA’S HERO ($816,381), who was sold to Hong Kong for $1.5million after winning the first two starts of his career. He returned to Australia at the beginning of 2021 where he continued to win races when trained by Chris Waller. She is also a half-sister to this season’s Group 3 placed multiple winner LINAS LEGEND, currently in training with Danny O’Brien. Cloanthy has also produced a very nice yearling by HIGHALND REEL (IRE) that is being retained by the breeder.
