Description
Moodhilla is a dual winning daughter of Champion Sire, EXCEED AND EXCEL and out of the winning 2YO, La Guichet.
Moodhilla hails from a family full of international black type. She is half-sister to stakes winning, G1 placegetter, RINGA RINGA ROSIE and very closely related to the G3 Gold Coast Guineas winner, HIGHTAIL. Her 2nd dam was the very successful race mare LA CAISSIERE (Luskin Star), a winner of 6 races 2 at 2 from 1400-2000m. Her Group victories came in the G2 Flight Stakes, G2 Wakeful Stakes, G3 Surround Stakes and group placings in the G1 Queensland Oaks, G1 Champagne Stakes etc. She was also a very successful producing mare, she is the dam of Leading Australasian 3YO Filly, DASHING EAGLE, the winner of the G1 Flight Stakes, G1 1000 Guineas and G2 Surround Stakes.
EXCEED AND EXCEL is one of the most prolific Broodmare Sires of his generation. He is the Broodmare Sire of 10 individual G1 winners including ALIZEE, TEN SOVEIGNS, PROMPT RESPONSE, ASTERN etc other Group winners include YES BABY YES, OVERPASS, ENCRYPTION, KALLOs, HANSEATIC, NIGHT’S WATCH etc in total his broodmare progeny have earnt over 100m in prizemoney.
To date, MOODHILL has had three foals, none to race. She is being offered in foal to our G1 CF ORR winning son of REDOUTE’s CHOICE, ALABAMA EXPRESS.
