Description
This is a three in one package with the broodmare confirmed in foal and with a colt foal at foot.
DE ORO stands 16:0HH and is a really nice type of mare. She is good boned, athletic and nice natured. She is good to deal with and easy to catch, vet, farrier and drench. She has been straight forward to get into foal.
Her colt foal is a very nice type with no obvious confirmation issues. Is well boned, has a nice flank and is growing well.
De Oro was unraced but is a half-sister to four winners from 7 named progeny from the GILDED TIME (USA) mare, GILDED GRACE. It is a sprinting family winning from 1000m to 1400m with her Grand-dam VAL DE GRACE (NZ) being a stakes winner over 1400m. DE ORO is a three-quarter sister to Hong Kong champion and G1 winner, HOT KING PAWN. She has 2 named foals, the 2nd by CARAVAGIO (USA) having raced, with 10 starts as a 2/3yo with 6 placings many of them on metropolitan tracks.
DE ORO is by DENMAN, and he is slowly working his way up the broodmare sire list the last couple of years. By the great LOHNRO, himself a to 10 broodmare sire for a number of years, you can expect DENMAN to move up the list as more of his daughters progeny hit the tracks.
The foal and pregnancy are by FRANKEL MY DEAR, a son of the unbeaten FRANKEL (GB) and of BUENOS AIRES (IRE), a listed placegetter in France. BUENOS AIRES (IRE) is from an impressive family and is a half-sister to 3 stakes winners; twice Australian Horse of the Year and multiple Group 1 winner MIGHT AND POWER, Group 3 winner MATTER OF HONOUR and Listed winner BASTET (in France). And the Black Type continues with half-sisters going on to produce stakes winners in USA, France and Hong Kong.
