QUALITY HEADWATER FILLY FROM BLACK-TYPE FAMILY

This filly is well grown, with nice scope and has good bone. She is out of Sirius Spy, a two-time winning and Metropolitan placed mare by Mossman. Sirius spy has had one runner for one winner in Sirius Girl (by Deep Field) who won at her third career start. Sirius Girl was purchased for $55,000 from the Inglis Classic Yearling sale in 2020 by good judges in Will Johnson and Darby Racing. Sirius Spy’s yearling by Showtime is named Spione and will be trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes, where he will no doubt be given every opportunity.

This filly has plenty of black-type on her page including Group 2 winner TRAITOR. Her 2nd dam Informant has had three to race for three winners including prolific winner of nine, Conca del Sogno (by Magic Albert). This filly is also a three-quarter in blood relative to Stakes Placed BE WATER MY FRIEND who ran a gallant fourth behind recent Group 1 winner Apache Chase in the Listed BRC Daybreak Lover.

This filly is by Headwater an exciting young stallion on the rise who was the leading First Season Sire by Winners and Champion Second Season sire by Earnings. Already the sire of 10 Stakes performers in 3 crops of racing, including Stakes winners JAMAEA, WISDOM OF WATER, MILEVA, AITCH TWO OH, and STARLIGHT. Headwater also made his mark at the yearling sales this season with 100% clearance rate and an average of $101,000 at the five major yearling sales.
