Description
SAVALAND is by the evergreen SAVABEEL who sits well inside the top 20 on the broodmare sire table with 64 winners from 155 runners this season. SAVALAND'S family includes many black type performers including NORTHEAST SHEILA, DASHING GRANADA, KABLAMMO, JACQUELINE ROUGE and CELEBRITY GIRL.
SAVALAND is in foal to BRUTAL, Newgate Farm's up and coming son of O'REILLY. BRUTAL won his 2yo debut in emphatic style and followed up that with two more wins, making it three in succession including the Listed Exford Plate. He won the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap in fewer starts than any horse in history and he won the Group 2 WFA Premiere Stakes beating CLASSICQUE LEGEND, OSBORNE BULLS etc. BRUTAL retired with prizemoney in excess of $2.5 million in just ten starts.
BRUTAL’S first crop of foals hit the sale rings this year and realised prices of $110,000, $80,000, $70,000, etc. There are 125 foals to run for him in his first crop and they look to have the same precocity as their sire.
SAVALAND is good in the crush and on the truck and she is easy to handle around the farm. She stands appr. 16.1 hands.
