Description
A lovely strong Nicconi mare. Lightning Nic was a handy race mare winning on 4 occasions and multiple Sydney metro placings. Putting together close to $120K.
The mare has a nice colt by Prized Icon who has been broken in, with big wraps from the breaker and is being retained by the owners.
As is the Hallowed Crown weanling. Another good colt. A slightly later foal and so the mare was not served last season.
Lightning Nic has been a good breeder. Had no trouble getting in foal, holding her pregnancy or foaling. She can be a little foal proud when her foal is newborn but settles down fairly quickly.
Lightning Nic has good size, approx. 16.1HH and fantastic bone.
Her dam lightning cross has a 2yo by Smart Missile with Theresa Bateup called Direct Target who looks a promising individual.
Lightning Cross also has a yearling filly by Denman heading to the breakers, with a lovely Prized Icon weanling to come and is in foal to Hallowed Crown.
The owners are getting out of breeding and are selling all their mares.
