Description

STARSELLA is a 3yo chestnut filly by STAR WITNESS, a $150,000 Inglis Classic graduate, this filly is a well put together horse.

STARSELLA’s dam KINSELLA is a half-sister to the G1 Queen of the Turf Stakes winner in that of IKE’S DREAM. IKE’S DREAM is a six-time winner having won or placed in 18 Group or Listed races, including having won the G2 AJC Villiers Stakes in track record time. A superior, tough and sound racehorse, she did well to continue to perform at the top level for a large portion of her career earning over $1 million in prize money.

STARSELLA’s family also goes back to some incredible breed shaping horses in that of CATBIRD, DAN BIRD and MAIZCAY. The family also includes a number of stakes winners such as BEANS, COUNTY, OPPORTUNITY, COUNTY, HALF HENNESSY, DIEU D’OR and many more.

STAR WITNESS has had a great career at stud with 63% winners to runners and 21 stakes winners to his name including the superstar and multiple G1 winning GLOBAL GLAMOUR, as well as G2 winners and now stallions STAR TURN and GRAFF. His other stakes winners include; SWIFT WITNES, FUHRYK, CROWN WITNESS and EXPLOSIVE WITNESS to name a few!

If breeding is your preferred option for STARSELLA; STAR WITNESS has also proven he is up to the task as a broodmare sire with just 32 starters for 15 winners and two stakes horses (6.3% stakes winners to runners); including G2 ATC Sapphire Stakes winner BELLA NIPOTINA and G3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes and Magic Millions 2yo SA winner TWIN STARS.

STARSELLA is lightly raced and is being sold by owners to make way for their new stock, so she still has every opportunity to break her maiden and move up through the grades in the right hands before she heads to the breeding barn. With just the five starts to her name, she will provide her new owners a great thrill with a maiden win and beyond.
