Description
YOUNG TESTA ROSSA MARE
Appello is a three-time winning Testa Rossa mare with a page full of black type. Testa Rossa is a Group 1 winner and producer who is continuing his success as a broodmare sire with the likes of Group 1 winner GLOBAL GLAMOUR, four-time Group-winner ANAHEED, Stakes winners DISPISTION and REGARDSMAREE all coming from his daughters.
This mare is also a half-sister to Group 1 winner SOUTHERN LEGEND (Not A Single Doubt) who is a multiple Group winner and earner of over A$10,000,000 internationally. Appello’s family carries plenty of upside with her dam the six-figure earner, Donna’s Appeal (Carnegie) still an active breeder having a filly by Snitzel and was covered by Bivouac last season. Appello’s half-sister Maxima (Choisir) is also starting to make headway in the breeding barn with Chris Waller & Mullcaster Bloodstock purchasing her second foal, a filly by So You think for $180,000 from the 2022 Karaka Yearling Sale.
Appello’s first foal, a colt by Star Turn was purchased by trainer Mitch Beer as a yearling in 2021. Appello’s second foal is a nice weanling colt by Star Turn.
