Ocean Spray is a strong, attractive mare that is typical of her sire Fastnet Rock. She is 16 hh.
Fastnet Rock is emerging as an outstanding broodmare sire, having sired the dams of Santa Ana Lane, Tivaci, Glint Of Hope, etc. The foal being carried by Ocean Spray will be born on the same cross as Tivaci (by High Chaparral), being by Peltzer (a grandson of High Chaparral) out of a mare by Fastnet Rock.
This mare comes from an outstanding international family. She is a full sister to the dam of one of this season’s smart 2yo’s, El Padrino. The breed shaping influences Danehill, Galileo and Storm Cat are all prominent in her pedigree.
Ocean Spray was a metropolitan winner in Sydney.
She is sold in foal carrying a first season covering by the exciting stallion Peltzer. After beating Anders on debut, Peltzer was unbeaten as a 2yo and went on to be a Group 2 winner at 3 – he is the fastest, most precocious son of the wonderful So You Think.
