Description

Pierone is a rising 8YO mare by Pierro out of La Remlap the mother of the ATC Golden Rose winner Manawanui. Pierro currently sits number 15 on the General Sires Table with 80 winners from his 218 runners 5 of which have secured stakes success. La Remlap has been an outstanding broodmare with 7 of her 8 foals winners, 3 of which have been city winners with the best of these being Manawanui who won at the highest level.

Also of note is the stud performance of Lady Remlap’s daughter and granddaughters , Remlaps Jewell has won 5 races and secured this seasons MVRC Stocks S G2 & Remlaps Gem who produced the flying Remlaps Gem the winner of 9 races and c.$300k in prizemoney.

Pierone herself is an attractive, correct and well-mannered mare that stands 16 hands. She was the winner of 3 races and entered stud in 2020 produce a nice Epaulette Colt that although being a first foal still realized $50K at Inglis’s Premier sale (Showcase Session). She has excellent Pride of Dubai colt that will sell this year that has plenty of size and quality. She missed to Blue Point last year on a very late cover which was a late decision based on the above average quality of her Pride of Dubai colt.
