Description

CALIFORNIA LYNX is a lightly raced 5YO gelding who has had just the 5 starts to date for 1 win and 1 placing at provincial grade in NSW. His win came on the 4th of March at Newcastle over 1400m when beating subsequent city winner NAVAL SEAL and Grafton Guineas placegetter GWAN SO.

Sired by FASTNET ROCK and o/o the stakeswinning American mare FASTONGRASS, CALIFORNIA LYNX had his last start on the 21st of April at Newcastle. As this was his fifth run on his first racing preparation, the decision was made to spell him and he is now currently back in full work at our Flemington Stables, VIC.

CALIFORNIA LYNX stands at 16'2 hh and weighs in at 530kg. He is being sold to dissolve the ownership as his owners have purchased new acquisitions at this year’s yearling sales and their focus is mainly on qualifying horses to race in Hong Kong under their own banner. Unfortunately now that CALIFORNIA LYNX is a 5YO, he does not meet the requirements to qualify.
