SHINING LIGHT is an outstanding type of mare being a $45,000 weanling purchase she has grown into a lovely type.
She is by the great BRAZEN BEAU who was the G1 VRC Coolmore Stud stakes winner who has gone on to sire 216 winners including 19 stakes winners such as ON THE BUBBLES, PRETTY BRAZEN, GENERAL BEAU, NORTH PACIFIC, SARTORIAL SPLENDOR, LARIMER STREET and many more.

SHINING LIGHT’S dam EVENING GLITTER is a half-sister to the G3 AJC Breeders Classic winner PASIKATERA who had a total of 7 career wins, including wins or placings in an incredible 11 stakes races. She then went on to produce the stakes winning PLANET VOYAGE who earnt over $400,000 on the track – also with 7 career wins.
This is a quality family littered with stakes horses; including the multiple G1 wining TEMPEST MORN who won twice at G1 level and placed in a further 4x G1 races throughout her career.
SHINING LIGHT remains unraced due to a knee chip. She has two jump outs running second in both, showing plenty of ability.
SHINING LIGHT is a half-sister to the filly QUEEN LATIFA who is metro placed and ran in the G2 VRC Sires back in March. QUEEN LATIFA has performed well under strong company having placed third to JACQUINOT who won his debut career start before running a superb third in this year’s G1 Blue Diamond, following that with a quality sixth place in the G1 Golden Slipper.
Queen Latifa jumped out at Cranbourne 9 August in jump out 10 on racing.com and is nominated for One Thoisand Guineas so is held in very high regard by stable and will be due to race again in early September.
