Description

Queen Of Sass is an attractive 5yo mare by elite Australian speed stallion Deep Field (Northern Meteor).

Deep Field was a sensationally fast racehorse and he is throwing that speed into his progeny. With three Group One winning sprinters to his name, from just three crops of racing age, he now stands at a service fee of $88,000.

Deep Field is too young to be tested as a broodmare sire as yet, but his sire (Northern Meteor) and grandsire (Encosta De Lage) are both Champion broodmare sires. So it could be expected that Deep Field will make into a terrific broodmare sire one day.

Queen Of Sass is out of the winning Commands mare Demure, who is beautifully bred, being a half-sister to Group One winner Kukeracha (Night Of Thunder) and Group Three winner Cameo (Shamardal).

Queen Of Sass debuted as a 3yo on 03/06/21 at Wangaratta where she finished 2nd, beaten the narrowest margin, 0.1L. At her second start on 21/06/21, she was most unlucky again, finishing 2nd, beaten 0.1L again.

In Queen Of Sass’ second preparation, she broke her maiden nicely on resumption on 23/12/21 at Wangaratta and she followed that by winning second up as well at Geelong on 06/01/22 by 1.3L.

Queen Of Sass’ overall record is 9 starts for 2 wins and 2 seconds.

Queen Of Sass has a lovely physique. She is a good size, athletic looking and an attractive, dark brown mare.
