Description
Read is a lightly raced 4yo gelding by Iffraaj who has raced on 4 occasions for 1 win and 1 minor placing. He has only had the one racing preparation and he broke his maiden at start 2 at Cranbourne. He took up the running to lead and scored a comfortable win.
He progressed through to a benchmark race in his next start and with a lack of tempo he ran his race upside down and this told in the finish. The positives taken from the race were that he is still an immature horse that is continuing to improve with racing and the more he races the more tractable he will become.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t fit his ownerships criteria of racing group horses so the decision has been made to move him on unreserved.
It has been detected that he is a Grade 4 in the throat. Vet Report attached.
