He is just that staying type you want and right on your doorstep, ready to go on with right now and deliver what his bloodlines have long suggested and what he has shown his owner-trainer who has done all the hard work for you.
Don’t overthink this, try not to think of him as a tried horse like so many on this platform, but untried with unlimited potential. Because that is what he is.
He’s an unraced three-year-old, in full work, but has had the benefit of numerous preparations including 3 trials and now is ready to go to races. The advantage of giving him time to mature has allowed him to mature and develop into a magnificent specimen with a nature to match and potential to take you on an exciting journey and who knows where he could take you.
This is a late maturing family, his three raced siblings, all winners, but they didn’t find that form until into their four-year-old seasons and beyond.
And this big boy, he’s an athletic 17.1 hands, shapes as just the same. Have a look at his PLUSVITAL genetic testing report (attached here) – he comes back, not surprisingly by being out of a Zabeel winning producing mare, as what they assess a “TT”, or a horse suited to 2400m and beyond, just as 2020 VRC Derby winner JOHNNY GET ANGRY returned for the same connections. Could WINSTON deliver a similar result on the track?
The signs are there. One thing for certain is that he will stay and there are countless opportunities for stout distance horses in Australia.
He's a son of Coolmore’s magnificent stallion CHURCHILL.
Perhaps you saw the Aga Khan’s VADENI walk home by five lengths in the Group 1 Prix di Jockey Club at Chantilly – (The French Derby) earlier this year then backing it up with a Group I win against older horses in the Coral Eclipse at Sandown. And this season he has come back with placings in the Irish Champion Stakes and runner-up in the world’s most prestigious 2400m weight-for-age contest the Arc de Triomphe. He’s by CHURCHILL.
So too is this season’s star French 2YO BLUE ROSE CEN, a winner of four from six, including the Group 1 Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac - Criterium des Pouliches, crowning her the best of her generation.

While CHURCHILL has had two-year-old winners in his first Australian crop like the Chris Waller pair ROBUSTO and CONQUEROR, JENNY JEROME emerged in this spring, but there is little doubt, that like VADENI, the breed will excel with time and maturity.

He just has needed the time and the sole owner, who purchased him as a weanling, has many horses he owns outright on his books, so now is prepared to offer him to potential buyers who can now capitalise on his patience and tap into all the genetic and physical advantages he possesses.
