Scissor Step is a Group Three placed 4yo gelding by Toronado (High Chaparral).
Scissor Step is a high-class and versatile sprinter who already has an impressive race record, with a huge amount of racing upside.
Scissor Step raced four times as a 2yo. He finished third on debut after leading with a fast tempo. He then broke his maiden at his second start at Ballarat with ease by 2L. At his third start he finished third in the rich Vobis Gold Rush at Bendigo and followed that by running third in the $1 million Vobis Showdown.
As a 3yo, Scissor Step ran a very credible 4th in the Group Three Blue Sapphire and 2nd in the Group Three Red Anchor.
In his third preparation, Scissor Step won first-up at Caulfield where he came from last, proving his versatility to perform well both on the speed and off.
Scissor Step won first up again during his current preparation, where he won from on the speed in a tough display in front of the huge crowd at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day on 22/10/22.
Scissor Step is a very impressive horse by any measure and he is being sold in terrific order with a huge amount of racing upside.
He is in full work at Flemington and ready to go on with. He stands at approx. 16H.
