Description
Initiation is a strong and imposing 5yo mare by Pride Of Dubai. She is a lovely type that would make a beautiful broodmare after racing. You wouldn’t be disappointed seeing her step off the truck.
She is well conformed, is nice and sound in the limb but she has developed a wind issue with her rider reporting a noise after her latest race start. A scope revealed her to be grade 4 and she would require a tie back surgery.
She very lightly raced only having the 5 starts for a second placing, but we feel this does not truly represent her ability. She shows a great deal in training and her trials have been great, but sadly she cannot produce under race pressure given her breathing is holding her back.
As mentioned, she would require a tie back throat surgery in order to be able to continue racing. It might be worthwhile taking the punt as she does have enough ability to win races in the right jurisdiction.
Our syndicate has given her ample time but did not wish to proceed further with her by having throat surgery and giving her more time.
She has been spelling since the 6th of January since her last race start.
As mentioned before, she would also make an outstanding broodmare after racing. Inspections welcomed.
