Description

Almsgiver is a 5yo gelding, by dual Group 1-winning sire Contributer, out of the mare Dosh, the dam of 9 winners including G2 Wellington Guineas winner Sacred Park.

After being sourced from the trials in New Zealand, Almsgiver has won on three separate occasions in Australia, along with a gallant second placing at Warrnambool during the May Carnival.

He kicked off his current preparation on a positive note, with a strong second-up win in November, however has since struggled to replicate this form. As can be seen in the footage & photos attached, the horse was healthy and well when turned out to a paddock in early January.
