Three in One package, with ZOUSAIN colt at foot
Cool She Is is an unraced daughter of the outstanding race mare Yanna Marie, who was a nine time winner including at Group Three level. She is also closely related the Group Three Auckland Guineas placed Mr Jay Eight. This is a family littered with black type performers from both sides of the Tasman, including two Australian Group One winners Acushla Marie and the Emirates Stakes winning Hucklebuck.
Cool She is has a first foal by Zousain and this colt is to be sold with the mare as a package. Zousain is an incredibly well performed son of champion elect Zoustar, Zousain was a Group Two winning juvenile and rather unluckily was beaten less than half a length in three Group ones (twice behind The Autumn Sun and once behind Sunlight!) Zousain has been a hit with breeders ever since stepping foot into the illustrious Widden stallion barn, covering close to 600 mares in three seasons at stud! His progeny have quality, presence and strength. It’s not hard to see why they were in such demand at the recent Gold Coast sale, with his first crop selling up to $650,000 and averaging $220,000! This colt is a neat type, correct with a good amount of scope. Being an October foal, she will keep improving and will develop into a lovely well balanced colt.
She is also being sold in foal to the young, commercial first season sire, PORTLAND SKY and will be due an early October foal this year. Portland Sky is an extremely good looking and exceptionally fast son of the elite sire Deep Field. He won the sire making Group One Oakleigh Plate as a 3yo, just like Fastnet Rock and Snitzel! Certainly one of the most exciting stallions to retire to stud last season.
