Description
Saasmit is a very well-bred 4yo mare ready to start a new career as a promising broodmare.
She is by Shalaa who was a leading first crop sire. Her dam, Touchy Greeley, is a half-sister to Liscanna who is the Gr.3 winning dam of 2 x Group 1 winning 2yo’s, Brave Anna (Cheveley Park Stakes, Gr.1) and Hit It A Bomb (Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, Gr.1).
Saasmit was outstanding to win on debut as a 2yo at Murray Bridge (metro) by 3 lengths. Her next start was in the Gr.3 Blue Diamond Fillies Preview at Caulfield where she was only beaten 2 lengths by the very talented fillies Dosh, Tayla’s Moment and Frost Flowers amongst others.
She is an attractive solidly built mare who needs a change of environment away from the racetrack which is why we have made the decision to retire her to stud. She will require an experienced handler until she lets down from the racing environment.
Currently stabled in Esperance WA but is being transported back to West Coolup WA on Saturday, 4 February 2023.
