There is no doubt HIGHLAND FALCON has ability which he showed in his first start at GEELONG over 1340ms where he ran 2nd after starting second favourite. The stable went into the Race confident he would finish in the top 3, which he did.. Please see replay attached.

In his 2nd start at MOONEE VALLEY over 1510ms, the Stable again felt he would finish in the top 3 based on how well he was working but as well as being caught wide in running, he unfortunately lost 2 plates, see Stewards Report below.

He had a knee chip removed back in June 2022, and according to the vet, since the operation it is normal for him to trot out a 1/5 on the OF, which was no different several days after the run when he saw him.

He is a horse that would benefit from being swum / beach work.

He is a horse that requires some management but also has good ability.

MOONEE VALLEY POST RACE STEWARDS REPORT:

Highland Falcon Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Performed below market expectations. Eased down over the final 200m. Rider Daniel Moor reported in his opinion the gelding felt amiss in its action. Lost the near fore and near hind plates in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

He stands at approx 15.3hhs

He has been spelling since his run on the 10/02
