Description
Red Rapid is a 3yo filly by Merchant Navy who demonstrated a nice level of ability in her racing career. After having a knee chip removed towards the end of her two-year-old season she was subsequently found to have a reoccurrence of the injury following her return to racing at Yarra Valley in February 2023. As such, the decision has been made by her ownership group to retire to stud given the heightened risk of another occurrence following a rehab process.
Red Rapid is an attractive, well-conformed filly who hails from a fast family. Her dam (Platinum Express) was a 2yo winner and a winner of five races in total up to 1200m. Originally an $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase in 2021, Red Rapid has the physical attributes to go on and produce in the breeding barn.
