This cracking 2YO Gelding by Almanzor is officially named “MANZAPPEAL”. He is the first foal out of the unraced maiden broodmare HI APPIEL – by champion sire High Chaparral. The mother (APPIEL) was a multiple winner and Group 2 Placegetter and multiple stakes performed mare who is the half sister to DECEMBER DRAW and the family are consistent performers at black type level at every generation.
Manzappeal is currently in work with Leading NZ Trainer Robbie Patterson at New Plymouth. Robbie is currently 3rd on the NZ Trainers Premiership and has an incredible strike rate of 3.9. He wins a race less than every 4 starts. The trainer, riders, breakers and everyone associated with the horse on his journey holds him in such high regard. He is such a well balanced individual, he has such as beautiful action and carries himself so efficiently.

We expect him to trial next month (April) and possibly have an educational run or 2 to get him ready for the upcoming season. We are considering the VRC Derby as an option, subject to performance. So you will not have to wait long to be involved with him racing as all the hard work is done.
