Description
This daughter of SUPER ONE is out of proven producer DEFAR. Defar’s first foal to race is the Stakes placed three-year-old UPPER LIMITS who is in training with Jeremy Easthope at Karnup. Having won or placed in six of his seven starts to-date, this exciting gelding looks sure to add more black-type to his resume in the coming months.
Defar is a half-sister to the Group Two winner NURSE KITCHEN who was runner-up to MONTOYA’S SECRET in the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes. Nurse Kitchen was served by ZOUSTAR last spring and her three-year-old Zoustar gelding named ZOUSMIC, raced by China Horse Club, placed on debut in January for Peter Moody.
Nurse Kitchen also has a two-year-old Zoustar filly named PRINCESS KAGUYA in training with Chris Waller. Princess Kaguya was a $750,000 yearling purchase for Katsumi Yoshida from last year’s Easter sale. She also has a 2021 filly by RUSSIAN REVOLUTION and a 2022 colt by CAPITALIST to race for her so more pedigree updates can be expected.
At last month’s Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, SUPER ONE was represented by one filly in the sale and she sold for $100,000 to Parnham Racing. Just one week prior to that sale Super One had a new two-year-old Stakes winner in WA with the Daniel Morton-trained SUPER SMINK taking out the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic.
Super Smink is one of four Stakes performers for SUPER ONE this season to-date and another of his recent Stakes winners is ANOTHER ONE, winner of last week’s Listed Sprint at Canberra. Please note also that there have been six runners bred on the same SUPER ONE / FASTNET ROCK cross as this filly and five of those are winners.

This filly being offered for genuine sale and is photographed in paddock condition. She is only being sold as the breeder is reducing bloodstock numbers. She is easy to handle, drench and trim and has not had any surgeries or illnesses. She will make a lovely racehorse for someone with plenty of further potential broodmare residual after racing as she is from an active running black type family being bred up.
