Description
Group One sire NICCONI is fast establishing himself as a successful broodmare sire and already this season his daughters have produced Stakes-winning sprinters such as MAGIC TIME (Hellbent) and A VERY FINE RED (Deep Field). The Les Ross trained two-year-old MISHANI RAIDER (Jet Spur), already a winner of nearly $120,000 in earnings, is another example of the fast, precocious sprinters that daughters of Nicconi are producing.
Fastnic herself was a winner over 1300m and she hails from the family of Group One winners ZIPPING (Danehill) and SCORPION (Montjeu), and her second dam is the smart sprinter/miler MEMORIES.
Fastnic’s second foal is the lightly raced three-year-old MISSILE HOPE (Smart Missile). From just three starts to-date, she is already a place-getter for connections, running 2nd in January in what was her second race start. Fastnic also has a 2020 filly by DENMAN to be retained to race by the breeder and a yearling colt by SMART MISSILE to run for her.
With an outcross pedigree, Fastnic would match well with many sires, including of course those carrying DANEHILL as NICCONI has already proven to have a great affinity with Danehill blood – 70% winners from 318 runners bred this way, highlighted by the Group Two winners SIRCCONI, NICCANOVA and FAATINAH, the latter runner-up in the Group One Oakleigh Plate.

Fastnic is offered for genuine UNRESERVED sale as the owner is reducing bloodstock numbers. She is an easy mare to have on farm, straight forward to get in foal, good to trim, drench and float. She was not served last season so is ready for a nice early cover in the upcoming breeding season. Inspections on farm welcomed.
