Into The Wild is a fine sort of mare, with a commercial pedigree to boot. By Al Maher, a top class broodmare sire, responsible for the likes of Quick Thinker, Krone & Madam Rouge amongst others. She is the half sister to five individual winners and is closely related to the dual Group One winner SCALES OF JUSTICE, who won over $2million in earnings. Her first foal by Written By “It’s Only Words” is an unraced 2yo in the Peter Robl stable, and she is being sold with a strong, sharp looking filly at foot, also by Written By.
WRITTEN BY couldn’t have started his career as a sire much better. He is the sire of the mightily impressive Group winning THE NOVELIST as well as stakes performers Gangitano and Scorsese from just a handful of runners. His progeny have been a hit in the sale ring ever since his first yearlings were sold last year, that has continued this year with yearlings selling up to $410,000 at the recent Inglis Melbourne Premier sale. So far this year his yearlings are averaging over five times service fee!
A long with the Written By filly, she is also being sold in foal to the exciting young sire, ZOUSAIN, which will mean the resulting foal is bred on the same cross as MADAM ROUGE. An incredibly well performed son of champion elect Zoustar, Zousain was a Group Two winning juvenile and rather unluckily was beaten less than half a length in three Group One races (twice behind The Autumn Sun and once behind Sunlight!) Zousain has been a hit with breeders ever since stepping foot into the illustrious Widden stallion barn, covering close to 600 mares in three seasons at stud! His progeny have quality, presence and strength. It’s not hard to see why his first crop have been in such high demand with trainers and agents alike this year, with his yearlings selling up to $650,000 and have averaged over $130,000 at the premier sales – that’s over 7 times service fee!
