Description

Rue de Rivoli is a 3yo filly by Highland Reel who demonstrated a nice level of ability in her track work and trials at two before going through a growth phase and needing added time to mature.

After prepping up nicely for a race debut at three, she went on to run well at Geelong in January 2023 before failing to run up to expectation at her following two starts.

On the back of her most recent race start at Stony Creek it was discovered that Rue de Rivoli had a hairline fracture in the back of her knee. Given the location of the injury and the diagnosis, the decision has been made by her ownership group to retire the filly and send her to stud.

Rue de Rivoli is an attractive, well-conformed filly with a deep girth and highly phyiscal attributes. Her dam (Delisha) is incredibly well related, being a half to black-type performers DARSI & DARSHA.

Originally a $75,000 2021 Inglis Ready 2 Race purchase, Rue de Rivoli is well equipped to go on and produce in the breeding barn and would be a welcome addition to any broodmare band.
