Description

A winner on debut over 1400m for Chris Waller, WHAT A GIRL is a daughter of Champion Sire FRANKEL and is offered in-foal to Champion First Season Sire in 2021-22, RUSSIAN REVOLUTION. She is being offered unreserved as part of a reduction sale.

A daughter of the British-bred Stakes winner ROZ, who in turn is a half-sister to four-time Australian Group One winner HARTNELL, What A Girl would be an exciting addition to any commercial or boutique broodmare band.

One of the world’s leading sires with an incredible 16% Stakes winners to runners and 69% winners to runners from 680 starters, FRANKEL is also shaping to be a very promising broodmare sire; his daughters have already produced the Group Two winner MOZU MEIMEI (20f Real Impact), Group Three winner NOBLE TRUTH (19g Kingman), and the Stakes winners JUNCTURE (19f Dark Angel) and EYDON (19c Olden Times), while in Australia, from just a handful of runners, his daughters have produced 4 individual winners, including the Stakes placed WIZARD OF OZ (18c Exceed and Excel).

What A Girl foaled a quality colt by MERCHANT NAVY last spring and there is plenty of scope for pedigree updates to come via What A Girl’s dam Roz; SOLLOZZO (19g Merchant Navy) was a $180,000 yearling and placed on just his second start earlier this month for trainer Grahame Begg, Roz also has a 2020 filly by RUSSIAN REVOLUTION to run for her, and a yearling colt by FASTNET ROCK who sold for $400,000 to Hermitage Bloodstock at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

What A Girl’s second dam DEBONNAIRE is still at stud and was served by SNITZEL last spring. She has a 2022 filly on the ground by PIERRO, her 2021 ZOUSTAR filly sold for $500,000 to Paul Messara at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, and she also has a 2020 filly in the US by QUALITY ROAD to race for her.

**Please note, What A Girl has had colic surgery in November 2022. She has had no further episodes.
