Description
A rare find!
A scopey colt with a pedigree to die for! Zoustar out of a Group One placegetter, something incredibly rare for sale. Out of the incredibly talented TRAVESTON GIRL, she was a four-time winner including twice at Listed level, she was also beaten less than a length in the Gr.1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.
He is bred on what looks a superb cross, too. From just a handful of runners, Zoustar has produced The Gr.3 winner SUN CITY and the outstanding multiple group winning sprinter THE ASTROLOGIST out of Flying Spur mares. Add to the fact Gr.1 winner MIZZY was produced out of a Magnus mare, this cross really does look the goods!
ZOUSTAR needs no introduction as a sire. Already the sire of 34 individual stakes winners, it feels like he only retired yesterday from a stellar racing career where he captured both the Gr.1 Golden Rose AND the Gr.1 Coolmore – both incredible sire making races. If anything he has surpassed those achievements as a sire already. Five Gr.1 winners including the magnificent SUNLIGHT, he’s also one of only a few active sires to throw a Gr.1 winner in both hemispheres. ZOUGOTCHA proved her Gr.1 worth late last year, and it’s very unlikely we’ve seen the best of her. These exploits certainly haven’t gone unnoticed in the sale ring, he’s now sired 17 million dollar plus yearlings, five of those have been sold this year alone! His yearlings just this year have sold up to $2.6 Million and are currently averaging over $450,000! We’re running out of superlatives used to describe ZOUSTAR, and rightly so!
