Description
** Pleane note on Saturday 22nd April 2023 LETHAL THOUGHTS won the Mornington Guineas and is now headed to Brisbane for the Winter Carnival.
The Cosmic Force-St Remy filly is a very strong well balanced filly. She is the second foal of the mare and is half sister to the very promising 3 yo colt Lethal Thoughts. Lethal Thoughts in the stable of Maher and Eustace was the first winner of the season last year for So You Think. Winning his first start as a two year old he raced in the Gr 1 J. J. Atkins at only his third start, running 6th only beaten 1.2 lengths. On the 1st of April, at his second start after a spell this season he ran 4th in the listed Bendigo Guineas beaten 1.4 lengths.
St Remy won the first 2 yo race of the season at the Gold Coast at her first start and is from a very good family including explosive 2yo Murphy's Blu Boy. Cosmic Force was an extremely fast 2 yo himself and his first crop yearlings this season have sold very well.
The filly was entered in the Classic sale but sustained a laceration to the offside cannon ( see photo) which necessitated in her being withdrawn from the sale. The wound was superficial and has fully healed now. The filly is in good paddock condition. She has not been X-Rayed or scoped. She has been seen to windsuck.
