Description
This mare is a daughter of Northern Meteor, sire of 24 stakeswinners from just 4 crops before his passing, including 6 Gr1 winners – Zoustar, Shooting To Win, Cosmic Endeavour, Speak Fondly, Romantic Touch & Amanpour. Northern Meteor is already the broodmare sire of 10 SWs including current Gr1 winner Communist.
Indemnity showed good speed, winning at her second start over 1000m before injury curtailed her career.
Her dam, the stakes-placed 2yo Can’t Hackit, is a half-sister to the dams of Gr3 winner La Fille en Jeu and Gr1-placed SW Sea Galleon, all descended from AJC Oaks winner Just Now.
Indemnity has a 3yo colt and 2yo filly by Giga Kick’s sire Scissor Kick and a yearling filly by Champion Dundeel 2yo Castelvecchio.
Due to foal in September to Castelvecchio who served 335 mares in his first 3 crops.
Castelvecchio’s first crop will be 3YOs when the due foal is a yearling, including yearlings sold up to $360k, $350k, $340k etc. in stables such as Waterhouse & Bott, Gary Portelli, Chris Waller etc.
