Description
This quality young mare hails from a cracking family littered with black type performers. She is a half sister to the Listed Fernhill stakes winner, Untamed who is now plying his trade in Hong Kong. She is also from the same family as Gr.1 winner and now successful sire, FOXWEDGE as well as the recent group winner and highly regarded BANK MAUR. She was lightly raced, a winner on debut and she went onto be placed at metro level in Sydney showing above average ability.
Kentucky Wildcat has had two foals to date including a sharp looking filly by Kings Legacy who looks a likely type for an early sale in 2024. She is being sold in foal to the exciting young sire BRUTAL. This striking son of O’Reilly proved himself on the track by winning his first three starts, two of which were at stakes level. He then went onto finish a gallant second behind the superstar WINX in the Gr.1 George Ryder, before capturing success in devastating fashion in the Gr.1 Doncaster Handicap at just his seventh start!
BRUTAL has proven exceptionally popular at stud, covering over 450 mares in his first three seasons. His first crop of yearlings were also well received this year with results of $320,000, $260,000, $240,000 etc and have ended up in some of the leading stables including Ciaron Maher, Team Hawkes, Lindsay Park, Anthony Freedman and the Busuttin / Young partnership.
