Description
Lunalove is a young mare by multiple Champion Broodmare sire Redoute’s Choice being sold in foal to top-class stallion and Triple crown winner, Pierro.
Lunalove is out of high-class racemare Forever Loved (by High Chaparral), winner of the Group 2 VRC Blazer Stakes and Group 1 placed in the time-honoured Vinery Stud Stakes. Forever Loved is herself back in foal to Champion Sire I Am Invincible and has progeny by Pierro (a yearling filly who realised NZ$450,000 at this year's New Zealand Bloodstock Premier Sale, and to be trained by Chris Waller) and I Am Invincible to run for her.
This is a rare chance to purchase a mare from one of the very best families in Australasia, that of the top-class Champion filly Tristalove and Group 1 winners Viking Ruler and De Beers.
Lunalove is by Redoute’s Choice who as a broodmare sire is responsible for no fewer than 26 Group 1 winners, including Anamoe, Artorius and Zoustar. In foal to Pierro, the resulting progeny will be bred on the identical cross as Group 1 winners Arcadia Queen, Regal Power and Levendi. Pierro continues to prove himself as one of Australia's leading stallions, with his progeny selling up to $1.75m this year, with that highest price also being out of a Danehill-line mare.
Lunalove foaled a very good colt foal by I Am Invincible in 2022 and is due to foal in August to Pierro. A big, strong mare, with plenty of strength and quality, she stands 16.2hh
