ROCKET COMMANDER – In foal to BLUE POINT who has hit the ground running as a sire with TWO 2YO WINNERS in Europe from his first crop!
ROCKET COMMANDER was a brilliant 7-time winner and multiple stakes winner having earned close to $550,000 over her superb career. She won the G3 ATC Wenona Girl Handicap and Listed SAJC Penny Edition Stakes whilst placing in a further 7 stakes races. Her family goes back to the stakes winning and G1 Western Australian Oaks place getter in that of SLIGHTLY PINK and includes the stakes winners OUR BELLITION, FLAUNTING, GRAND CANYON and VOLITANT and JOEY JO JO.
ROCKET COMMANDER is currently in foal to one of the greatest European sprinting sires to grace Australian shores in that of BLUE POINT (by SHAMARDAL. BLUE POINT won the G1 King’s Stand at Royal Ascot (1000m) twice as well as the G1 Diamond Jubilee (1200m) and G1 Al Quoz Sprint (1200m) amongst a plethora of Group placings. He was crowned Champion Sprinter in Europe with a WTR of 124 and his first crop of yearlings have been very well received in Australia resulting in an average of $200,000 with his top priced filly selling for $380,000 and his top colt selling for $900,000.
A full sibling to the resultant foal out of this mare was a 2021 filly by BLUE POINT who sold for $320,000 to Peter Moody at the Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale this year. Her 2022 filly, also by BLUE POINT is an absolute ripper and will be retained to race by her breeder. ROCKET COMMANDER’s date of last service is 23/11/2022.
