Speed on Speed!
Blessed with natural early speed, Safety Fuse was thrown in the deep end as
a late summer 2yo beaten less than 2 lengths at her first race start at
Ascot behind subsequent MM winner Pixie Chix and $300K+ earner
Featherweight.
Trainer Danny Morton thought enough of her to then tackle the Listed
Supremacy stakes at start two where she was beaten less than 2 lengths
behind leading 2yo Liwa.
At her 3rd start 2 weeks later she confirmed her quality finishing close up
to eventual Sires winner Hoi An and flying machine Policiere in the G3
Gimcrack stakes.
A winner of 3 races and nearly $120K in stakes, Safety Fuse rounded out her
spring 3yo campaign with consecutive wins at Ascot and Belmont.
A cracking sort, very much in the mould of her sire and former top class 2yo
Safeguard, Safety Fuse is all power with great depth of girth and powerful
forearm and gaskin.
Safety Fuse hails from one of our most productive families being a
half-sister to quality stakes placed galloper In Love With Paris, speedy
multiple city winner Catherine Wheel and metro winners Paris Report and
Saloon Bar.
Safety Fuse's half-sister Catherine Wheel has a ripping Blue Point yearling
and an equally impressive Blue Point weanling while her mother Paris Cracker
has a 2yo Snitzel filly named Lunch in Paris and is in foal to WA star
Playing God.
A great physical type with plenty of upside in her immediate family (not to
mention being a grand daughter of freakish 2yo Paris Petard) and carrying a
positive test to phenomenal winner getter SESSIONS, Safety Fuse ticks all
