Description
Daisy Cakes is a good looking, winning young mare from a strong black-type family.
She has zero vices with the most wonderful and kind nature. Physically Daisy Cakes is a strong, sprinting type with a beautiful head and a massive nostril. She stands at approx. 15.3hh
Highly thought of - Anthony Freedman sent her to stakes company in only her second career race start. She was as game as they come and had a good record of a win and 2 seconds from only 4 lifetime starts. We did not see the best of her as we decided to retire her based on a slight set back.
We did not send her to stud in her second year as she cycled late and we did not want to set her on a later foaling path. She is due to foal in August to Australian champion miler Fierce Impact.
A very current family, Daisy Cake's half brother Bank Bank Bank (Tomodachi Kokoroe H.K.), who was a $175,000 weanling purchase from the Gold Coast, has relocated to Hong Kong and will continue his racing career in the stable of David Hayes. Still to come for the mare is a Russian Revolution filly now named Rose Ring who cost $210,000 as a yearling and the Brazen Beau half sibling offered at the Inglis Classis sale this year also broke the $200,000 mark when sold to the leading stable of Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr.
We are very sorry to see her go but unfortunately, she no longer fits into our breeding program. We are sure that her new owners will be as pleased with her as we have been.
