He is out of the race-winning mare IRELAND’S TEARDROP by FASTNET ROCK, who is three-quarter sister to the Stakes Winning BID SPOTTER, and from a family that includes Stakes Winners ISOLDA, JOLIE BLONDE, BALLER, MAHUTA, ANLON, LISTEN SON, and Stakes Placed Sharpatan.
Paddy’s Van has only had 12 starts in his career to date, last racing with Daniel Bowen at Murwillumbah on 25th April where he won over 2020m. He finished 2nd at Grafton just three days prior, and takes his racing well.
He is a strong and handsome gelding that is approx. 16.3hh and weighs approximately 570KG. (see video)
He was purchased at the Magic Millions Sales in 2020 for 80,000 and has no issues.
He is being sold as the owner generally concentrates on sprinters and his recent winning and placed form suggests that he will need 2200metres+ to achieve his potential. He looks like he will continue to develop and remains in work, with additional staying races currently being targeted for him.
He is BOBS Extra qualified which provides a good uplift to his potential prize money.
